For Muslims, the Udhiyah or Qurbani basically marks the end of Hajj and considered as the time to reflect on the importance of sacrifice with the Islamic tradition. Muslims all over the world observe Udhiyah or Qurbani by sharing meat to the less fortunate. This act of sharing is considered as a gift to many people in need all over the globe. It is also considered as a celebration since meat is a costly treat that is only enjoyed during special events.
Unfortunately, this Eid will not be as pleasant for the more than 4 million children affected by the war in Syria, many of whom have no family at all. Millions of children are at risk due to the violence, shortage of food, collapsing infrastructure and facilities. Imagine being alone in the world at the age of ten or five. Would you be able to support yourself? Neither can these children.
They are all alone in this world and rather than leave them to fend for themselves, Due to the millions of children suffering in Syria, the Udhiyah or Qurbani donation can greatly help out these children and you will share something truly special to them. You are doing your part to help out those who are in need, particularly the children who need it the most. let’s show them what being a Muslim is all about. Let us remember the reward of taking care of in need.
“The likeness of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allaah, is as the likeness of a grain (of corn); it grows seven ears, and each ear has a hundred grains. Allaah gives manifold increase to whom He wills. And Allaah is All-Sufficient for His creatures’ needs, All-Knower” [al-Baqarah 2:261]
Let us pull our resources together and help the children of Syria by making a donation to these very orphans from our Udhiyah obligation. Every cent you donate will go to the children in the heart of Syria because we have no administrative costs
And when you donate, you’ll know that you’re helping another child enjoy their Eid too. Because no child should go hungry on Eid, or any other day. Please help today so Children in Syria can have a better tomorrow.
